Goodish

I think I'm goodish. Gosh that really should be a word. I mean I guess I'm not like Voldemort but reality sometimes sows doubt if I'm even a good person.
It's strange but at our strongest we can feel the weakest. It's like lifting heavy dumbbells that push us beyond the plateau. We feel weak, it should be easier to lift this we think. Yet it is powering through the weakness that makes us strong. Strength, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, is a decision, not a feeling. It's a decision to leave the past behind, to leave the uncertainty of the future to the benevolence of time. The strength to be goodish is to succeed at what is in front of you, to learn rather than despair from what's behind you, and to hope that the future considers your current struggles a mere trifle.
To own your imperfections as catalysts for growth, and to be comfortable with the unknown. How will I fix my life you wonder?
Start by trying your best in this moment,
it may not be perfect but it's goodish enough if you learn to love yourself.
